The olden part of Ankara - Capital of Turkey

The ancient capital Ankara was officially dominated as Turkey capital in 1923 by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk with a population of 25000 by then. Tucked in a basin with small hills and vales, north west of famous Cappadocia, Ankara today become the 2nd largest city in the country with a population of 6 million people. It bridges the gap between the old and the new, from Hittite Civilization to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, from hilltop citadel to modern boulevards.
